Customer LO

mousetrap-class-jump

‘Jump’ by Sonja Wright (wrightboysmum to UKS’ers)

This gorgeous LO was created by Sonja using our Cream of Mushroom kit for the ‘Mousetrap’ class during the recent UKS Cybercrop.  I absolutely love how the kit can work for boys, and darker colours than just the bright greens and oranges which are in most of the papers.  Thanks for sharing Sonja!!!

Pancake day!

24th February, 2009 at 11:53 am (Uncategorized)

So I know it’s not technically a craft, but who’s making pancakes, and practising their pancake tossing tonight?   I’ve offered to make some for the in-laws, so I’m sure there will be disasters whilst I try to impress them.

Bet there are some weird Derby traditions of what they have on them… I think they said orange juice?????  Lemon, yeah, totally, but orange?

Saying that, my friend used to have lemon juice sugar and brown sauce on hers, and I’m sorry to say that that is my favourite now!!

Anyone else got any ‘interesting’ toppings to share?

JBS White Bean Kit (don’t look Nicola)

22nd February, 2009 at 11:52 pm (Product focus)

Firstly, if you’re Nicola, turn back now and don’t look!!! LOL

kermit

Here’s a LO I created with our White Bean Soup kit.  When I saw the frogs on the cold water paper I just had to use them to scrap the ‘frog incident’ from Indigo Mill’s October retreat!

Thanks to – Claire for the lilypad shape (my mind completely blanked as to what they look like!) and to Christina for the pun title!! lol

I started it at Dabblers Friday before last, but was too busy chattering and catching up to finish it, so finished it on the bed in the hotel at the NEC! LOL  Not the easiest place Ive ever scrapped… but I’m sure it won’t be the last time.

(Sorry nicola, had to do it!)

More customer LO’s!

22nd February, 2009 at 11:41 pm (Uncategorized)

Tonight we have some more layouts created by our very talented customers to share with you…….

lo-joj

‘Joj’ by Ann Evans

This is the reason I love scrapbooking, because of the stories behind the pictures that you wouldn’t know from just a photo, Ann’s title comes from her littlies not being able to pronounce their grandad’s name, and so calling him ‘joj’ instead of George….

Also shows that no matter what the overall colour of a kit (After Eights being primarily blue) you can soon turn it to any picture and make it look any colour!

there-is-so-much-to-love-about-him

‘There is so much to love about him’ by Claire Fader

Again, shows how a kit can differ depending who uses it!!  I always worried this kit was too green and orange, but looks fantastic in Claires layout.  I love the dimension thats been created with the embellishments….

Well done ladies!

If you have produced anything with our kits that you’d like to share, please email us a picture to designteam@indigomill.co.uk

Scrapbook subjects

20th February, 2009 at 8:29 pm (Uncategorized)

I know it isn’t a shop / scrap related topic, but I had to share with you this fabby piccie I took today, we took a drive across to Lincolnshire to spend the day with DT member Elaine and her two gorgeous kids.

Managed to get the monsters to all stand still for 2 seconds to quickly snap this piccie before the huge aeroplane flying over distracted them all!!

Whats your favourite scrapping subject?

We also noticed that you can always tell a scrappers child, as soon as the camera’s produced, they smile and say cheese. Or do it with their own kidtuff cameras!! lol
