I’m thrilled to welcome these talented ladies to our team. Take a hop or ten across their blogs and you’ll see why!!
Well…. this has been a very long and hard decision, and though I would have liked to have chosen everyone, I just can’t do that. I have now emailed everyone who applied to let them know if they were successful or not, so please check your email inboxes (and don’t forget your junk / spam, as our emails end up there a lot for some reason!!)
Once the selected applicants have confirmed their place on the team, we’ll be sure to introduce you to them.
If you have not been selected, please don’t be disheartened, there was so much amazing work.
Thank you everyone for your interest in joining our team.
If you’ve not already seen it, head on over to the UKScrappers Home Page , where the team are running a ‘mini-book a day’ even over the next two weeks of the summer holidays.
Cleo from Bellaboo had a fantastic squash book today, and we’re next, with Claire’s amazing beer mat family tree book…
You can get the full instructions in pdf format free on the UKS homepage tomorrow (Tues) and of course, complete it using up all your own stash, but we’ve put together a fab kit here with everything you need, and you can save over £3.50 off the individual products when you buy the kit!
So here are the pictures of Claire’s mini-book:
As a gift for her grandparents, Claire made this a ‘family tree’ so that as you flick through the beer mat pages, you go down the family to a final photo of the recipients, her lovely grandparents.
And so…. since the website is rather ‘buggy’ since the latest release and has decided to totally refuse to show enlarged pictures, I have to rely on this blog to do it for me…. I’ve taken two pictures of the kit available, one with a 7Gypsies paper pack, and the other with a Black Market Paper pack:
The beauty with this kit, is that you can choose ANY PAPER PACK you fancy from our range of 7Gypsies and Black Market Paper Society paper packs… (Claire has used Black Market Paper Society: Lucky’n’Love for her book) and again, as the website won’t play… here are the paper pack options:
7Gypsies: Gypsy Market
Sorry, but we can’t find any decent images of the Black Market packs at the moment, so I’ll photo some and upload them for you tomorrow… how anyone can manage without a website in the current times, I’ll never know!
Sorry sorry sorry!!! There has just been so much amazing work submitted for our Design Team, that it’s taking a lot longer than I ever expected to shorten the short list (which isn’t so much a short list as a looooong list at the moment!!)
If you applied, then you will be notified by email whether you are selected or not, and we promise to have the full announcement up here as soon as we possibly possibly can!
I have been a bit behind with my DT duties… very poor show!!! This morning I found in my pile of stash ( the pile that is just begging to be used when i have the time) some bits and bobs from the June kit that Iwas supposed to play with… wops!
So in the hope that I don’t get the sack I have put this page together …. sorry its a bit late LOL!!!
This mini book project was great fun to make and doesn’t take to long. The products used were the beautiful papers from the back market range ‘Vintage Romance’ and the book is made with coaster cuties – then all embellished with a few buttons, American Craft – Thickers, and bottled blossoms in pink
if you look closely you can see the design team “working hard ” in the photos!!!!!
As soon as the Chatterbox Fabulous papers arrived for our August Kit – Mischief & Mayhem, this ‘Fabulous Big Star’ paper was my favourite!! I was flicking through my photos trying to sort a piccie to match, when I came across this one of my DS and his new coloured canvas shoes he had from Next before our holiday. I managed to get a picture of him standing so perfectly (look like a shoe ad!) and the stripes and colours match the paper perfectly.
I added some brads and mimicked the star shape using DMC Desire Wire in red, some different font and colour alphabet stickers, and then cut a notch in the top of the paper, added some eyelets and an old shoe lace, and I’ll tuck a journal tag behind it when I’ve written what I need to.
So, it’s not a boy kit, or a girl kit, it’s definitely an ‘everything’ kit this one, with great neutral colours to suit all occasions!
Hi there all, hope the weekend is going ok and you dont have too much rain, but if you do then that is perfect scrapping weather!!!
I am having a lazy day scrapping and ignoring the fact that the grass needs cutting and it is dry out there… if I get the mower out it will only rain.
So here’s what I have done so far today, thanks for looking and hope you like. if you do pop over to the shop and pick up some of the fab ruby rock-it papers while they are still in stock.
love lots CB xx
Thank you everyone who has applied for our DT positions…. (although there are still 2 hours to go) we’ll be sifting through as speedily as we can, in between ordering new goodies!
We will be in touch with the selected scrappers shortly, if you haven’t heard anything by 10th August, then please assume that on this time you haven’t been selected, but that there will be more DT calls in the future.
Unfortunately, there are so many of you out there that are just hugely talented, so it’s going to be difficult, and I wish I could pick all of you, but I’d go mad trying to keep track!! 🙂
Good luck everyone, we’ll announce our final team on here as soon after 10th August as we can.
Steph and the IM team x
